ZOE’S KIDS FOUNDATION, is a Los Angeles, California and Lagos, Nigeria based non-profit that is dedicated to assisting children from low-income families in surrounding local communities achieve excellence in life; using travel as a tool for education and to promote cultural awareness and social interaction.

Through their journey to other communities, we strive to encourage their ethical, social and intellectual development, while nurturing our children’s capacity to think skillfully and critically.

ZOE’S KIDS was created in response to the growing education pandemic, recognizing the vast divide in the education of inner-city youth and that of their suburban counterparts.

We realized there has to be a way to reawaken the zeal for knowledge all children possess at birth. And, it is our firm belief that this zeal will fuel their commitment to education, placing them on the path to empowerment and greater opportunities.

It has been said, “there’s no education, like traveling the world.” We agree, and have seen the positive effects of immersing one’s self into other cultures and learning their histories.

This global enlightenment, leads to a true understanding of an individual’s unlimited potential and opportunity.

Also, we give young people the tools to define goals, not just infuse them with some “pie in the sky hope.”

We introduce them to people of similar backgrounds, circumstances, who have defied the limitations set upon them by society. We encourage them to create new definitions of themselves, and to dream bigger than they thought they could.
